crotch rocket engine in wheeler-pics??

well me and my father dont have anything to do this winter in the shop, so we have been thinking about doin something to my 400ex.

we have access to a CBR600 engine-just gone through everythings good comes with mostly everything i would need except a radiatior and some few odds and ends.

We know this will take alot of customizing and fabricating, cutting my frame and stuff but thats what winters for. and someone i know has done this to a predator and had good luck.

Has anybody done this or know someone that has. I really want to see some pics of something similiar done. Like i remember around a year or so ago on ebay there was this black 400ex w/ a crotch rocket engine and it had street tires on it and everything.
i even think it was street legal in w/e state it was in. it went like 80 or 90 in 1st gear.

just fix the broken streetbike over the winter then you can hit turns going 120-130 mph.

its definitly your decision, but that 400 is soo nice, i'd hate to see that beauty get chopped and hacked up to stuff a bike engine in. ive seen some videos of quads with bike engines in them and they just dont seem too useful unless your dragging. if you wanted to get into dragging, why not try to find a cheap rolling chassis to work on, not something so nicely built for offroad riding.

by the way you built that 400 i can tell you know what your doing so it's not that i'm worried about you screwing it up, just sad to see a useful quad turn into a straight line racer.

I'm with him on this, that is a nice bike, find something cheap and put the engine in that. But it's your bike, do with it what you want.

thanks everybody, but see this is the thing i have to sell my wheeler so i have been parting out the aftermarket stuff and keeping most of my stock stuff w/ some aftermarket parts i will need.
if i had money i would most deff. buy another quad to do this to, but i have no money left over.
and me and my father are doing some bartering for this streetbike engine so we can get a REALLY good deal on it.

I think the 400ex looks a little ugly. They could definitly clean it up better, with the wires and all. MX Junkie looks like your friend really likes those old 2 strokes. That yellow LT looks hot. whats in it.

yea i agree w/ you guys on the 400ex it could deff. be more put together, but i would take care of mine all together...

but if i remember correctly that 400ex was on ebay, but it had street tires on it and turn signals and it looked better??

i really appreicate the pics though, if you guys could find more on the 400ex it would be great cauz i have tried finding them bfore w/ no luck.

I wish I had the pics. I had the opportunity to ride a CBR600 powered 300ex this weekend. It was pretty fast.

The one of you that has no sins can cast the first stone... or sumthin like that, i never said anything about not likin the kid, ill admit my quad is borderline POS, my freinds have nicer, and i have nicer than some of them, were all still freinds, its not about the quad, i just look at a dozen of his posts where he does nothing but quotes...he cant type, "I agree with him, don't waste the quad" or something. If I was you I wouldn't even think about doing that your bike is way too nice to chop up plus if you plan on selling it it probably won't sell worth a crap.

nothing special yet, blaster frame with an aircooled 750 motor and a wheelie bar from a drag bike, stretched the swingarm a little by making some new mounts for the swingarm and made a rear strut and then moved the upper front shock mounts higher to lower the front, its almost done but still got some stuff left....
