View Full Version : How to do Brake Light Wiring On 400ex ?

I want to know how to do the brake light wiring on a 2003 400EX.

The Front and rear switch are already installed.

My sockets (2) are also already installed in the tail light and have two wire each

I'M noob with wiring if somebody could explain me in detail how to do that it will be very nice !

ok i got it:

You have to find the Red wire that start at the battery and go to the ignition switch. This wire is already fused 15 amp.

For each switch you will need to bring power from this wire to your brake switch.

After that take an other wire from the front brake switch. Bring this wire to the rear brake switch then to the rear sockets you installed.

My sockets had two wires each ( 2 brake lights = 4 wires ) so i made a kind of Y connection with the wire to have only 2 wire.

One is the Ground and the other is connected to the wire that connect the brakes swith.
