With some new information i've found out my question is almost the same as the last one so no use in starting a new thread. so here it goes....

i was playing paintball yesterday and i was shooting alot and i was in need of more rapid fire. I have found out that if the serial # on your 98 is below 893,000 you can use an e-bolt, if your serial # is above 893,000 you can use the e-grip. So it is possible to turn my tippmann into a full auto gun.
my 98 custom is a great gun but i was thinking of getting an electronic gun. 1.) I was thinking of selling my 98 custom and buying the 98 custom pro with the e-trigger just because i like how the 98 works. 2.) Keep my 98c and buy the e-bolt (if i can find one) or 3.) Keep the 98c and just buy an electronic gun. Either way i go I'd still like to own a tippmann. My problem is I dont know any good electronic guns and the differences between 98c, the 98c ACT and the 98c pro. Any suggestions or information anyone?

the 98 custom and the 98 custom pro are actually the same thing. So what i would do if i was you is just buy either

A) A responce trigger, which doesnt use anything electric, but if you pull the trigger about 1/2 it shoots like an automatic. The rough estimate for this should be like 100 bucks or so

or

B) you can just get the electric trigger frame like u are talking about and installing it on the gun you already own...

And for barrels i would go with a 14-16" maximum anything bigger then that is actually overkill and you will use more co2 to push the paintball threw the barrel and you wont get as many shots. Also over 14-16" you arent getting it any more accurate shot

The problem is I don't know what are some good electronic guns, any suggestions and why?

1) sniping doesnt exist in paintball, the balls only fly so far, and the tippmann flatline isnt as great as ppl think because it may shoot further but most of its range, when it hits a person the ball doesnt even break.

2)Keep the 98 custom and get a 2 finger trigger, that will be all the faster you need to shot on the standard 5 dollar hopper, after you get an aggitated hopper you can then get the response trigger and have it work to its fullest.

3) If you really think you need an electronic gun, get one of the spyder models, yes they are very low end, but they hold together extremly well and are easy to fix, not very many things to go wrong. Also on the barrel, anything longer than 14 inches just slows the ball down and doesn't add any accuracy.

i can't get the e-grip for my gun because of the setup of the sear, it is a gun below 893,000. This pic will show why.

That is the setup that shows whether or not you can have a e-trigger.

I was in the same boat as you. I was going to spend the money on upgrading my 98c, but I decided to just buy a new gun. I bought the new Spyder VS2 for $190 and an egg2 hopper. I love this gun. It is right up there with the Ion. Im definately glad I didnt put the money into my tippmann.
