maybe 1 hp on top, but you really need a dyno graph to compare the dif. in the rpm range when they say +5 or so they can say this because at 3000rpm you just gained +5 or so hp compared to the stock system

HMF Full System vs. X-4 on the 250ex is going to be a very close comparison. You won't really feel the difference.

pretty much any aftermarket pipe on a 250ex will add the same amount as long as its not a older DG or cobra exhaust. it doesnt really take a rocket scientist to make a better flowing exhaust compared to stock. seeing that you have already bought the sparks i couldnt see taking the loss on money in buying another pipe. i dont understand why people switch out different pipes every year that arent sponsored unless they just have money to burn  i know that is the only way i would switch that much

It could be better.. but the difference between 14hp, and 14.5 hp (as an example).. is not all that noticable.. lol. That's assuming the x-4 has 4% higher HP than the competition on that model.
None the less.. you're not gonna feel the difference on peak.
The curve everywhere else could very well be different though. And that's what really counts, not the peak hp.
