I was out riding last weekend, and at the end of the day I starting to smell burning oil. I looked down and noticed my motor was covered in oil. I traced the leak to the tranny case breather.

I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else?

Sounds like it may be overfilled???

I filled it up until it came out of the check bolt as usual. I was reading things about pressure in the case. But I've never noticed it before on mine. Unless somehow the breather got plugged with dirt and then it built up pressure and spit it out?

in the summer i accidentally filled mine up a bit too much and it did the same thing, just clean the engine off, and it should be fine, most of the over filled oil should be expelled

I'm starting to think I put in a little too much, I don't see what else it could have been. But it happened at the end of a 2 hour engine running time. Unless it was coming out slowly the whole time.

If you are not over full on oil it could be crank seals. We have seen this a number of times here.

Pressure from the crankcase leaking into the gearcase and pushing the oil out the breather?
