Sunday was my first harescramble. 2 hours, no problem right, everyone sais they stretch and stop and rest in the race, I'm like I'm not doin that, we ride for 6 hours when we go ride. Apparently we take rests cuz I was worn out in like 15 minutes. I'm like oh hell. But I finished with no breaks.
I got 2nd on the start cuz I didn't get mine started first, but I was catchin the 450r on the FT, then it went to MX track and I wiped out on the 4th turn, came off a jump, the landing ramp was steep! Front end hits, bars turn, quad goes into a berm, throws me off and quad rolls over, get up and flip my quad over and put my tether switch in, LoL, start it and take off, I was about a minute or more behind, and I caught the guys.
The track was fun, ride some wheelies here and there, arms lost all strength but you gotta hold on cuz its a rough/hilly track. Landed off a jump wrong thought I cracked my wrists. Ha, they still hurt.
It was sweet cuz everyone you see threw the trail was cheerin me, and prolly all the other guys on too. Throw thier hands up in the air and hoot and holler for you, so that made me ride harder. 10 guys came with these 2 guys that raced, they were sittin at the pits and cheered for me when I went by. So that was cool.
Got a flat halfway threw a lap. Aboot 20 minute laps, go to the pits, ask the guys if it looks low to them, the guys that were rootin for me, they had like 2 or 3 hot chicks with them too.:devil: They're like "We got air", didn't hold air. They found the whole put 5 plugs in it and then it held air.
Finally finished the race and got 1st place. It was a lot of fun, but if your ganna race XC, your prolly ganna get tired!
Here's some vids my mom took. I ride a wheelie on the FT untill I gotta let off for the checkpoint if you can see it. Haha.
And I'm racin FT next year, I was catchin a guy that races FT and I hold it wfo about 30 feet more goin into the turns then everyone else, cuz I marked it at the last races, I'm like why are they lettin off so early, so when I ran I marked it and it was about 30 feet farther, get some FT tires, a sway bar, maybe front wheel spacers and I'll be ready to go.
