We are wanting to upgrade to a larger radiator on my Daughters Blaster/CR85. We have two dif. radiators one is a YFZ450 and one dual out of a 250r trike ( I think thats what it is) according t o Hetricks, the YFZ should fit, thats what they use..Well... I dont see how ? LOL:confused:

Anyone seen this done before?
Were doing afull tear down and changing a few things on it thiswk end.

I put the 250r radiator in my sons blaster frame. It just fit! I don't know about the 450 one.

MY guess is oing to be the type of pipe that was custom built for it .
I know some wrap around the outside ,some the inside. My guess is that it wont fit because of the angle of ours...
Janssen reccomends a Cobra radiator, I wont pay what Cobra is charging, plus Im not convinced its big enough anyways.....:scary:
Heres a few pics

what about one radiator off a yz 426 dirt bike. they have 2 that are tied together. they are not wide but tall. probably have to take to a radiator shop and have something done with the inlet and outlet. just an idea.

well, they got the radiator fitted... Ill get some pics up soon.
Now next will be modifying the pipe to fit around it . We have someone locally that can do that.

Next will be fabbing a skid plate.

I have never put a radiator on a blaster but I have built many hybrids...anyways, maybe you should try a lt250R radiator or a banshee one and mount it in a similar fashion as found on those atvs. If your pipe was in a different spot a trx 250R radiator would work well. Just some suggestions for radiators that you may not have considered.

We already got the radiator problem solved:) Its already got tabs and mounted and is now on it. The YFZ450 worked, we just have to relocate the upper mounting tab and adjust and fit the mid pipe section.

Got the pipe angled to fit today as well. Heres a couple pics with it fitted before it all comes apart to get cleaned up and fresh PC.
