difference in 04/05 and 06/07 pipes

I noticed that the pipes are for 04-05 and 06-07, whats the difference? my buddy has a 06, and the exhaust looks excaly the same as my 06, is it that it's just made different to make more power since the motors are different? or while a 04-05 pipe simply not fit on the 06?

i think they moved the motor forward slightly, so the header is actaully a little longer, i think. but don't hold me to that, i may be wrong. i am for sure they did move the motor slightly

I heard, but have no personal experience with it, that a slip-on will fit all models but the full systems are slightly different to due a moved mount, or as underpowered said, the motor being moved. But again, i have no personal experience with the newer EX's, that's just heresay from the track.
