View Full Version : 400ex Shocks Ona 450?

I HAVE A SET JB LONG TRAVEL A ARMS FOR MY 05 HONDA 450 AND WAS LOOKING FOR A USED SET OF LONG TRAVEL FRONT SHOCKS AND WAS WONDERING LONG TRAVEL 400EX SHOCKS WOULD WORK?

They may fit, but I don't know how well it would work. 400EX shocks are considerably shorter than R shocks. I would imagine it would apply to longtravel 400EX shocks as well. (?)

Stock shocks would definitely not work (standard travel) however long travle MIGHT, you need to figure out how long they are first off. Next step would be to contact the a-arm manufacturer to see what length shock they use for their arms, then if they are the same, they will need to be revalved and resprung for the R.
