Will a 16 tooth front sprocket fit on a 400ex with a Prodesign case saver?

i know it won't with a stock and most chain guards are for 15t... i had to grind my stock one down to fit it on my sproket...

I was able to get a 16t to fit w/ the stock saver, but it was a PITA to get on. After all the work to get it on, I rode for 30-40 minutes, decided the gearing sucked & put the 15t back on.
