View Full Version : Taping Into Selinoid Winch

How do I tap or test selinoid to hook up winchred and black wires can I test it with tester that will only power up when I have key on ? right the machine is a 2002 polaris magnum 325 4x4 any help would be really appreaciated thanks Anthony

I'd reccomend asking down in the Utility ATV section. Probably get more informed responses.

Our magnum 325 Blew up, polaris piece of crap. It was an ok quad but very under powered, Now I have a broken quad in my shed taking up space. Wish I would of spent the $2800 on my honda. Buying that Polaris was the biggest waste of my friggin money.

What year was it ? and was it a 4 x4 ?

it was a 02 and it was a 4 by 4. The oil cooler had a recall on it, we got it fixed put it still did'nt work.

I have that same machine I called polaris a while ago and they said there is no recall are you sure please cotact me if you could anthony 631-793-4324 are you sure there was a recall on that machine now you got me freeking out please e-mail me or something anthesnodog@yahoo.com thank you so much.....Anthony

I read your question 3 times and still can't understand what you're trying to do? If you're trying to hook up a winch without the key on just hook it straight to the battery or the battery side of the solenoid. Just make sure you install an inline fuse holder with a fuse capable of handling the winches load as well.

type in on yahoo, "polaris magnum recalls" and you will get what you were looking for.

Yes it does mention it but only the 2001 model not the 2002 that i have .........

Well on are 02, the oil cooler fan did not work what so ever. On the recall page they say a loose oil cooler line , I never saw this problem on ours so I dont really know about this problem. I do know this though sell that quad before it blows up cus there is not one part in the world for that machine. The parts are more for the machine than what the machine is woth.
