Hybrid for the 300ex

I want to slap in another motor into my 300ex frame, Give me engine's and prices(canadian).Help would be appreactied(sp)

AND what kind of mods to the frame/mounts/twiking would i have to do to get the engine and stock plastic to fit right.

do it, I may be putting the engine from this 100.oo 300ex into a 200x three wheeler frame I have laying around. All you need is a torch and a welding machine and anything is possible!

I've seen 250r,350x and a yamaha 450 motor in a 300ex frame. I've even seen a lt500r quadzilla motor in a 300ex frame at little sahara,ok. He ran the pipe like them badass drag banshees.

CRF250

I was going to do a CRF450, but I'll be damn if I give $2000 for a used stock engine without the electronics or fuel system. I'm going tommorrow to mock up my cousins GSX-R750 and see what kind of room I'm looking at. I'm thinking of running a CBR-600F4i, since I can get everything for under $1000. It's between that or a 250R motor for me.

The 250r motor shouldn't have a problem fitting. I haven't seen them compared side by side, but I can't imagine the 250 2 stroke being any bigger than the 300.

I don't have a hybird, but I'm building one up. It's slow going. I just put money into it as I can.

Do you have anymore pics of that quad? If so would you mind putting them up. It looked badass, but I only saw a progress pic. Also I'm throwing a pm your way.

ill try to get some pics of a locals 300 with a 450r engine. its a tt bike and the frame was modified alot to get the motor to bolt up right, but its well worth the time. i think its one of about 4 in the us with a 450r engine.
