For about $100 more you could get a set of Elka recs. There is nothing like a good suspension upgrade.

That bites. My parents are the exact opposite. They prefer the 1 hour bolt ons.

Where can you get a port and polish for under $300?

There are actually a couple placed that could do it for pretty cheap. When C&D Racing did mine it was $175 for the port and polish and $65 for the 3 angle valve job.

WOW that sounds like a good deal. I contacted GT Thunder and they wanted $495 to P&P my 440!

Did you ship them your head or just the valves for the 3 angle valve job?

I shipped them out my head with the valves and everything. They went through and made sure that nothing needed to be replaced (Like seals) and did the port and polish work plus the three angle valve job. They did some pretty good work, too! One heck of a deal, for sure, but like everything else, you have to pay to play! I hear some great things about GT Thunder, though, so I wouldn't hesitate to try their work!

I forget what had occurred exactly, but they were way behind schedule when I shipped it to them. I think it took me about a month or so to get it back, but like I said, only because they were so backed up. Didn't take long once they got to it.

Ya a month isn't bad if i'm saving a couple hundred $$$.
