Smoke

My freind has a 2001 400EX( he has owned it since 2000) and a few months after he bought it he took off the spark arrestor and he didn't re-jet. It's completely stock including filter, and then one day it started to smoke alittle but only when he stabed the throttle and now it smokes at a stop. It is like a white-ish blue-ish color but you can kind of smell oil. So would he be running lean or rich? Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

sounds like it's time for a rebuild..white/blueish smoke is oil...If it was too rich it'd be black smoke.

ya u might wanna get that to a shop asap i let mine go when it was smoking and i ran out of oil two days after i changed it and blew the motor and now i have to pay about a 1000 dollars to get it fixed
