I'm not used to wandering in this section, but I need a little help. I was thinking about doing a crf450 conversion, but the price of the motor has swayed me. I'm thinking about doing a 250r motor. I'm just wondering what all will need to be done to do the TRX500R. I know it's a CR500 cylinder on the 250R bottom end.
Any suggestions as to what years to use for the best combination? Also I found a decent price on an '86 ATC complete wiring harness. Is this the same as the TRX and would it work with the TRX500R conversion? Thanks.
Edit: I finally found some info on the trx500r. A little more work than I was expecting. I'm still wanting to do a 250r base swap. I may look into some more topend alterations though. I'm still wandering about the wiring though.
