Ive posted this a couple times in the past with "0" feedback. Toss me your expertise knowledge...

When is it a good time to start thinking about reinforcing your crankshaft? After what mods should you perform this safety measure? Only after large big bore kits? After installing a national kit (Its a 450R)? What?

i would have to say when you are doing a big bore stroker... like if you are making your 450 into a 500 stroker or something like that.. you said you wanted some kind of answer.. well here something...

I would say anything over 13:1 CR you should upgrade the stock rod.

I say if you ever have the crank out you should get it reinforced, even if you're just doing a basic rebuild or higher compression piston. It's always better to be safe than sorry, but definately once you go into anything with high compression, overboring and stroking.
