Is the 450 REAR shock better than the stock 86 TRX250R will it fit???

As far as i know, it will not fit. the 450r uses a different linkage setup as well as having a top mounted resivor. the 250r uses a remote resivor b/c of the carb and intake boot would be in the way with a top or piggyback resivor shock.

My friend switched his front shocks but could not get the rear one to work.
