anyway i need to help him with it and need to know what are you guys running [brands] for oil in these?

also, what would be a ballpark jetting? slip-on, no lid.

for oil you can just run honda, yamaha, suzuki w/e oil in it. i run 10w 40 in the winter and 20w in the summer. ballpark jetting would be about a 160 main im thinking?

160 sounds right with no lid and a slip-on. My power lid came with two jets, a 155 and a 160. I'm using the 160. Unfortunately I don't remember what my air screw is set for. This is something that will need to fine tuned anyway. As for oil just make sure it's oil made for wet clutches. Any good quality motor oil without friction modifiers.

jmo, if you wanna run good oil and dont mind spending alil more money pic up a couple bottles of amsoil. its synthetic and clutch safe. i plan on running it after my next change. always heard good things about ams.......any rider on this forum would agree.
