Well now I have a few ?s:
1.what could I get for my 400 with the mods in my signature?
2. With that money can I afford a 450r or YFZ 450?
3.Is it worth modding my 400 and getting suspension for $1500 or get a 450R?
Please help. I don't know what to do.

Im really not sure what 400's are going for. Plus it varies from county to county and state to state. Just check the papers and classifieds.

You can pick up a nice used 450R or YFZ for around $4,000 - $4,500.

My opinion is a stock 450R or YFZ is going to perform better in every regard than a highly modified EX. Drop $200-300 into the 450R and your well on your way!

i second that ^^^^^. you should get around 3k for the 400.

well it depends on what type of riding you do. If you race whatsoever then get a 450. If your just a casual trail rider then you might consider keeping the 400ex. Electric start and a bullet proof motor and a lot more comfortable seat.

i'm in the middle of trying to sell my 400ex to get a new 450r. i figured for the amount of money it would take to get comparable power out of my 400ex, i'd be better off getting a 450r.
