Is it for your 04? I have a 06 and the kits are different. I can tell you on the 06, but the 04??

usually check on forums for cams for sale but ebay is the biggest supplier :D for buying the cam alone, but i would recommend the whole kit.

04/05 HRC Kit

-HRC Needle
-185 Main Jet
-HRC Cam
-HRC Airbox Lid
-HRC Snorkel
-HRC Breather T
-HRC Exhaust End Cap

Yes you can buy the cam by itself. Check eBay or the Parts for sale forum.

04/05 HRC Cam is extremely top end bias. It has great mid/top end power, and excellent overrev, but you actually lose power down low.

If it were me, I would buy a Hot Cams Stage 2, the main jet, and the HRC Needle, and then perform the free modifications by cutting the airbox lid, snorkel, and breather t. This will save money, and the HCS2 will provide for a big power gain all across the power band, instead of loosing power down low. The HRC cam does provide more power from 8500-9850RPMs, but from 0-8500RPMs, the HCS2 provides a large gain over the HRC. Just my opinion tho.

Good Luck!

The HRC comes with the HRC camshaft, Spark Arrestor, Airbox Cover, Intake Snorkel, Main Jet, Slow Jet, and Needle Jet. To be honest, the HRC kits for the older models are not even worth getting. The cam is not much for all around performance and is more expensive than many other superior cams.

It would be a much better choice to "make" your own hrc kit based on what you are looking for in performance and how much you are willing to spend.

Yeah, though I don't remember the markings off hand. The HRC kit does not consist of a Hotcam.

Yeah, I know what you were saying. Unfortunately, I sold my Hotcam so I could not tell you what the markings on it were.
