a no link it the way to go.the no link just works faster and sences the changes faster ,has more up travel and sets lower.

Nobody makes a No-link for a 400EX. Axis and Roll tried it, they were making a kit to move the air box because it is in the way, but they found out that the upper shock mount wont hold it, even when gusseted, still breaks!

Form the people that I have talked to that have used both on a 250R say that the no link takes the big hits better but linkage works better on the smaller bumps.

Jeff hit the nail on the head. The no link is a power to the ground application. The same bike with the same rider and motor will have the no link pull him every time. And its murder on small jups and rythm sections. The best is a CR500 link. I dont know if it can be applied to the 400. I have a couple of guys trying to make me one for the 400. But they are the best of ALL worlds. Mo:p
