Ok so my step-mom drives a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT and its a great little fast car(hit 100 on the freeway today). Anyways the problem is it just burns oil like theres no tomorrow. So my question is what r some solutions to this issue with out overhauling the engine? i know the best thing to do is re-sleveit or hone the cylinders and some new rings but that isnt really a practical solution cause its a daily driver. o and by the way its got 162,000 miles. any help is appreciated.

change the rings and just go through the engine maybe, oh and 100 mph is cake work, i did that in my moms highlander. hit 145 in the 1.8t the other day.

a mistubishi with over 150,000 that burns oil?!?:huh :huh

It's pretty much guaranteed that old mistu's burn oil, my old truck burned oil like crazy. I'd just keep addin oil to it every now again as a car with that many miles isn't practical to rebuild. you just gotta remember to keep addin the oil every now and again....

do u have a VW or an audi... the only people to refer to a 1.8t are VW or audi enthusiasts like myself!:blah:

I'm going to say VW... only MK IV owners refer to their car by 1.8T.

oval track. Its a blast. They have classes from enduro which is cheepest. to mini stock, which is a more expensive class.

enduro its balls to da walls smash em up no rules racing. Its a blast.

Mini stock there is a bit more car involved, more sivilized racing.

Here is a pic of my budies mini stock car.
