1999 to 2006 400ex conversion

I bought the conversion kit off ebay from Yamaha Honda of Troy...
There is like 10 brackets and 20 bolts.... with no instructions

I think I have it mostly figured out, but I can't see how the headlight stay bracket is supose to be mounted

please send me any links that you know of that would show a parts diagram for a 2005-2006 400ex (for the headlight brackets)

If you are interested in this kit.... It is pretty bad ***, my 99 looks like a showroom 2006 with out the headlight....lol

I didn't pay that much because I told them I already had a hood and headlight $359.00 to my door, It is alot but it looks sweet

i hve a 200 400ex with 2005 plastic on it looks good

I did the conversion on mine last winter. I cant find the pics but I do remember that I had to get 2 self tapping screws and fasten a bracket to the frame that would eventually hold the light.

Here is my 2002 400EX with 2006 Plastics. I took off the stock hood and headlights and mounted a 450R Maier Hood.

BTW, that Conversion Kit on Ebay is a rip off. The fenders just bolt on to the existing brackets. I don't know what they send you all 20 brackets for? :huh Good luck though and post some pics.

Hey byron, what is there to do quad wise up in Fort Worth. I'm 1 hour west of Weatherford. I heard there is a track in Weatherford but I've never been. Any tracks out in the metroplex? Where do you ride?
