K&N outerwear and lid filter?

is it a good idea to run on a 250ex, im gonna buy a K&N filter and the outerwear with the lid off. and i wasnt sure with the lid off if it would be better to have that slip on filter over the box to? and doe any one no were i can get the slip on filter?

Yea it will be fine to run a k&n on your 250ex. Get an outerwear for the filter and you'll be alright with the lid off. Unless you ride in water above your fenders.
