Alright guys I changed my tires down to 18" in the rear and 20" in the front (stock is 20" rear - 22" front)

Do I need to drop my sprocket down 1 tooth? On the holeshot people are always in front of me and I asked the other guys at the track and they said I should drop my front down 1 tooth.

I plan on getting the sparks timing key this week, airfilter soon, and exhaust around next year

i wouldnt go down anymore the 05's come with 14t front on my 400 i run 15 t front with 20 in rears but i change sprockets and tires out alot when i ran 14t and 18 inch rears i had alllot of torque sounds to me like you need to put a pipe filter and rejet it to get more acceleration

it also sounds like you need to practice taking off

14 is the best way to go if you dont have many mods on the 400ex.. if you;re riding alot of track.. go 14... your accel will be noticable.. and its cheap..

Alright, thanks for the help guys, I will work on my starts!! I want to get a pipe/filter/jet but a full system is a tad expensive and I want to do all 3 at the same time
