cr gasket bumps up the compression over the stock trx gasket

which also gives you a little more hp

You should also do a compression check after you put in that gasket. If your compression is any more than 180 or so PSI you will need to run race gas.

bumping up the compression will actually increase bottom end.

from what I have gather and experienced, the CR gasket is prone to leaking/hard to keep a seal. Next time I am going with the ATC gasket, its a median between the thick TRX and the thin CR gaskets. :scary:

i just installed the cr 250 gasket and couldnt be happier. no leaks! more bottom end and over all performance! I did torque the head a little tighter than spec just to make sure it sealed! (23ftlb instead of 18ftlbs)

if you can't get the cr gasket to seal good just have the head shaved and get a trx gasket...anyone know if the wiseco top end gaskets are any good?? I just got a wiseco 69.5mm piston and wiseco top end gasket kit

It's good stuff, take apart a stock gasket and use only the top or bottom part, same as using the CR gasket. Coat it with Three Bond and you're leak free. Plus if you use a stock gasket you actually get two for about the price of one CR gasket.
