Am I retarded or the dealer?(Tires)

Today I went to 3 deff. dealers looking to get new tires. The first dealer I go to I tell I wanna get either 20" or 18" tires for mx. He tells me No! you really need to look into some mud-lites and he kept trying to sell me 22" mudlites for mx.. I told him theres no way anyone would run 22" mudlites for MX, well he instisted those where the tires to go with but i disagreed and walked out. The second dealer I go to I tell the same thing I'm looking for 18" or 20" MX tires(front and back) He tells me Those mesurments sound totally wrong no one runs's 18" tires or even 20" tires for MX.. at this point after going too 2 idiotic dealers, I was frustrated so didnt say anything and walked out. The third dealer I went to, I told them I wanted Tires for MX (I didnt say any sizes or anything, I asked what they would reccomend.) They said for a 250ex I would go for 20" on the back and front for MX. So I got the tires from the third dealer and I'm pretty damn happy with the tires :-D. So am I the retarded one here or are those first two dealers, correct?

I'm accually leaving to go pick the tires up now. I'll get some pictures of 'em when I get home.
And the front tires are ITP Holeshot SX's
(20's) and the rear are ITP Holeshot GNCC
also 20's.

18" tires are for MX... thats for the rear anyways

Sounds like they are the idiots. Why should they care what size tire you get. A sell is a sell if you ask me.

they probably wanted him to get the mudlites because they are more expensive than what 18" tires would be.

yeah, i go to RER for all my gear etc..

there quite expensive, but i live really close to them.

where do you live in monroe? i live on the newtown monroe line

i agree For MX racing i would go with 20'' but for GNCC and all around rutted trails im going for mudlights but then a again i dont race MX

what quad do you plan on getting after you sell the 250?

The dealer is the retard. Believe me thats why I got my 20 in maxxis Razrs on my 250 dude.
