does any one have the doug echiner edelbrock carb on their quad? It supposably gives a realistic 7 hp gain over a stock carb. if that is the case i will buy one immediatly!! Any comments will help!

Want mine? I never ran the 400EX that i got w/ the carb. I've heard nothing but good things about it though. I instead went straight to the 42mm 450R carb... that was kind of a mistake. I wish i just got that edlbrock tuned up. The 450R carb takes a good bit of work to fit and work well. NAme your price.... IT's just collecting dust. This carb has no jets to deal w/.. it's 38mm if memory serves me correctly. This is the Edlebrock carb... it is the doug echiner edelbrock carb i believe. The accelerator "actuator" broke, it's an easy fix... i just don't have the time to fix it. IT just needs retapped and screwed back into place. IT's a good carb. I know it works great b/c my buddy ran it before i bought it. He blew the old motor the nsold it to me. So it just sit's there now.

they're tight.. nice carbs.. I just dont want to spend the $$ for it.. OH .. you just gave me an idea of my Christmas present ^_^.. Im gona start leaving hints everywhere..

First of all, no carb is gonna give a 7 HP gain.... not happening.

The Edelbrock, although easy to tune, is a very poor performing carb compared to others. I ran one on my 440 just after I had built it and thought of it as pretty decent. Then, I switched over to an 450r carb. The 450r carb performed much better all around. I say save your time and money and either go with the 450r carb, or a FCR.

450R carb is the way to go ! Cheap! and extreamly good gains !

Ive got a 39mm fcr and the gains are greatly noticable. The throttle responce is amazing!

i'll second that! cant go wrong with a FCR;)
