thats up to you....id just do it at the reccomended intervals and you should be fine

It usually gets real hard to start when the valves need to be adjusted. Plus that dang ticking noise..I check mine every so often..my motors like to run smooth..:blah

Have the valves adjusted correctly, and don't let them get any louder than that.
