i was reading the rules from atva that are in usage in racing in the US.

for what i understood, for pro racing, the frame, botom end and all its parts have to be from a factory, and then you can change about everything. for the engine they say that in has to be no bigger than 450 cc for a four stroke and 250 two strokes.

i'm guessing that class a-3 is pro production and a-4 is pro open.

so now lets say that ktm releases their new machine in a 450 engine and they put the 250 2 strokes engine and make it a production bike, colud that be raced in the pro production?

from what I understand there is no reason it could not be

The issue is making it pass emissions, 4 wheelers fall under different laws than bikes

i rereaded the rules and coudnt find something about this.

i think for motocross or other closed racing there is no limit in sound and emisions.

now, i know that all of racing now is four strokes, i think last year ricky carmichel (?) used the two strokes, can any one tell me how much hp was that bike putting and how much a 450 is putting also?
