400EX stem vs 450R stem

Most 400 stems will fit and work on a 450r IF you use a bushing to take up the difference between the 2 quads stems. 450r's use a larger diameter stem. Burgard is the only one I know of that uses this bushing, I think everyone else has other means or ways ...or make a stem specifically for the 450r. There are differences in the tie rod plate and angle also that on some a arm set ups that can cause issues (rims hitting arms etc)
