400ex carb on 300ex

Hi ! I hear that putting a 400ex carb on a 300ex will increase speed i would like to know if it's true and if it's difficult to make it fit and what's the price of a 400ex carb!?

its pretty simple to put in, i bought so bigger like hose clamps for it bc the stock clamps wouldnt fit. i found one on here for like 50$ just look on forsale section

o and it does increase speed i had my stock 300 carb jetted and than put the 400 carb and the 400 carb is deff more powerfull

the only way your gonna increase speed is with a rev box (not recomended) or changing your gearing. it will only increase exceleration. dont even try the swap if your bike is all stock, you need at least a pipe, if you want to flow that much air in you need to be able to flow if back out and a stock pipe isnt gonna cut it, trust me i tried to jet my 400 carb on my stock 300 for over a week and i just went back to stock.

The carb will increase acceleration.

Was a very noticable upgrade on my 330.

As said above.. it wont affect top speed. Thats limited by your gearing and rev limit. (within reason). If you're running 14/32 on 22" tires in the sand you're not gonna hit your rev limit.. lol.

does the 300 throttle cable fit the 400 carb??

I could be wrong but get the 400ex throttle cable otherwise your slide wont open all yhe way we changed many jets and modded the immulsion tube and gained another two hp we were at 28.6 on the dyno after hours of testing the ennuksion tube gained us 2 extra hp very fast 298cc quad national legal
