Well, the colder the air the more air flows trough the engine. I`ll probably ride my quad as low as -15 degreas celsius. The jetting is stock now, should I rejet my carb for the winther?

If the bike is all stock you should be fine!

Colder air requires more fuel. I would rejet richer for the cold. Your bike will run better and your motor will last longer if it's jetted properly.

I have already went up one main jet size since summer.

i wish it was still 15*C, here!....i will probably ride in -10 to -15*C this winter and i'm planning on richening up a couple sizes

I actually ment minus 15*C. LOL. You change the needle or just move the clip?

every 20 degrees is a main jet size change.

well right now i have a crf needle on the 3rd clip, 55 leak, stock 42 pilot, and 165 main w/o airbox lid, when the temperature drops below freezing im just gonna bump my main to 168 and try that and go from there....this is for an 06 btw

Thanks. I have a 05, what are the stock main and pilot on this? What would you guess I would need for temps below zero? As you might see I don`t have a clue bout this. Just ordered a shop manual to help me out a bit.

Hey roundsy you should give a 45 pilot a try I like it better than the 42,and now that it is getting colder its even better. (just a thought):D the 42 is pretty lean. ever look at the header at idle at night. mine was red hot about 12 in back. know only about 4 in
