Just wonderin what gas would you recomend for 12.5:1 compression?

i run the yz426 motor and stock its 12:5.1 compression and i run pump gas.

What elevation are you at? Another dependent factor is what cams you are using? Its all about the static compression ratio...

Usually, a true 12.5:1 compression on the 450 motors will run just fine on 91 or 93 (whatever premium is in your state) R+M/2 octane.

I don't believe you'll have a problem unless you are at sea level, or below sea level.

They are correct. Any compression higher than that and youd have to start looking into running higher octane race gas. Pump gas will do just fine with that piston. Just make sure its at least 91 octane...like it says on a brand spankin new YFZ's tank shroud:)

find some CP Chem TT111, mix it half and half with some good pump gas, around 92 octane, and you'll end up with 100 octane leaded race fuel

good fuel, smells good when you burn it too.

stick with that and you won't have any probs

alright thanks alot... only im just gunna sell my quad for a bike now... but ill still keep that in mind if i do get that for my bike.
