What I really would like to know is: Where can I read/ look online about any quad with sportbike engines? In the back of a magazine one time I seen a very small ad about it but dont remember any address'es or anything.... Is there a website about converting a quad to a 600cc+ engine?

Help me? Im lost searching for info.

Thanks!

Basically, with a streetbike motor you're going to have a high revving, high hp motor, with much less torque.

Great for hillshooting, not so great for XC. ;)

Would be loads of fun in the sand.

I'd love to see this motor in a Hybrid.

Maybe a harley sportster motor, 883 or 1200 would be better suited for all around hybrid quad power. V twin, torque and that rumble. Finding a frame is another story, maybe a kfx700 frame.

Harley motors would vibrate a quad frame to pieces.

How bout one of these?

The cylinder head is reversable. :eek2:

80+ HP in a small, lightweight package sounds pretty good.

They weren't kidding around when they built these connecting rods.

Here's one on an engine dyno.

Too bad the engine costs ~ $10,000 for a standard package.

Actuall a Buell is what I had on my mind... I've never seen such a rough idling and vibrating machine off of the showroom floor in my life...

On another forum I belong to there was an indepth thread about a hybrid - it was a banshee frame with a 600RR motor. Roughly 105HP out of the box. I happen to know the bike he pulled it out of (salvaged after a wreck) and the motor had some decent mods. Probably put down 107 - 110 at the wheel. Long story short this thing flies, may not be great for trail riding but certainly sweet for open areas, dunes etc. looked like a lot of fun.

Here is a link to a warrior with a 600RR motor. Similar to the banshee I mentioned earlier. I have more links just have to find them...

Found another one...
