well we went there anyways and all i can say is area 2 is a blast to ride in. It has a decent amount of mud but it also has seperate trails to go around a lot of it. It took me and my bro about 2 hours to go through it and it was some good fun, really test your riding skills IMO if you ride it fast

you know where the parking lot is? If so go under airline on the road that is directly to the right when you pull out of the parking lot heading toward the back of the spillway. Its the road you can see directly on the other side of the parking lot. Take it under airline highway and keep straight following the signs. You will cross the main road that runs along airline and then the main road that runs from airline to the lake. You cant miss it. You will cross a man made wood bridge and that takes you into the woods. It was a ton of fun. I enjoyed it a lot and will be doing it again once this rain clears out for a little bit so it will dry up some

it is located in norco la. very close to new orleans. i like the trails in area 2...not very long though only about 6 mile loop. area 1 is crap. i usually go early in the morning before all the idiots get there then you can run the trails like you want without fear of somebody going the wrong way or people who wont pull to the side when a faster rider approaches them (usually i give them a lil nudge from behind to get their attention) it is an ok local place to go if you have no where else but there are far better places in central la. mineralgrey hit me up when yall go back i may take a ride.

New Years Weekend Sand Hill ATV will be having a free race. Saturday of the New Years weekend... at 12 noon, we will have a race. Hand drop run what ya brung! $100 to the fastest 2 stroke, $100 to the fastest 4 stroke. and those 2 will race for an additional $100. This race is free, Sand Hill ATV is putting up all the cash, and there are no rules. Nitro, nitrous, turbo, whatever!! lets see the crowd... It will be Double Elimination! So if something happens, you will get a second chance. Alright, a New Years twist. Along with the race on Sat. Any person who races will be given a raffle ticket which will entitle them a chance to win 1 of 5 drawings for $20.00 a drawing (let Sand Hill pay for your day). A person can only win once out of all 5 drawings and the winner of the 2 stroke and 4 stroke races will not be eligible for the $20.00 drawings. will do, didnt we go riding almost a few years ago together at the spillway when i just got done with my 250r? If so i dont have your number anymore as i lost my phone with it in there. I think we might be going sunday, depends on if i bring my 400ex or not since im not sure if the front end will be in in time.

Its a great place. We went for the first time last May and even with crappy weather really enjoyed our time. This year we're hoping for better weather and are going for a few more days. Definately worth the trip but I suggest giving yourself atleast 2 days of good riding time.

at little shara, is it dunes on one side of the road, and trails on the other?

We heading up there on the 27th of May, riding 28 and 29th and heading back on the 30th.

Its probably 90% dunes but there is plenty of perimeter trails to keep you busy. Our first time ever out there we came through the gate and headed straight for the trails. Rode trails for a good 30 minutes without ever passing the same place twice. Came out the trails and went up a small hill. At the top of the hill all you could see was sand. We quit riding trails and just ran from bowl to bowl. Then realized we were lost. Took us a while to find our way back but it was a hell of a time. :D
