i have never had that problem, and i have never heard of it....if u shift without the clutch, then that might be why because they don't shift very well without the clutch....

mine does the same thing. it wont shift into neutral very easy when its running. it does it fine when its off. i think its just the fact that ur gears are getting worn out. not sure. depends on how old ur quad is. mines an 03'.

its an 03 model. I always use the clutch never shift without it at all.It tends to happen while im riding through the dunes in 3rd gear and pops in neutral out of nowhere.

Do you mean a "false" neutral (meaning it's between 3rd and 4th or 2nd and 3rd)? This is quite common on quads, dirt bikes and street bikes. I'm not 100% as to the cause for this but it has happened to me on some of my bikes. Many of my friends have mentioned and or experienced this. If you touch the shifter very lightly by accident (you may not even know you hit it) it can move the gear inbetween gears (if that makes any sense.)

If you mean the bike is literally jumping from 3rd to the real neutral I can't help you there.
