No tires will work well in the snow on the street. Kenda XC's maybe.

Why are you riding on the street anyway. It's an ATV not a SUV. ;)

if you mean on the street when there is snow on the road ( snow storm or something ) then go with maxxis 4snow's they are the best snow tire out there...but they are super soft, so if you plan on ridding pavement, they won't last at all.

I know I won't use any other tire in the snow

Snow on asphault is still going to have your tire making contact with the asphault. I still don't see the tires lasting, or getting decent traction like it would off-road.

I'll second that. The only negative is their weight but that also eliminates some of the spin that causes you to get stuck.

for me with 18" rears when i tried to ride on the road i could never get enough traction to even move. I could have it in first gear and let out the clutch and walk away cause mine just sat and spun. For the road i would have needed studs.

I used HD's and i got good grip but not enough cause coming around turns fast i would get stuck easly or loose all speed from loosing traction.

I dont know about snow/pavement riding, but for general winter riding the stock YFZ tires work great. I've ridden all day on winter trails with them and only got stuck a few times on some big hills were i just didn't have enough momentum.

Ive ran paddles before.. if anyhing run straightcut.. and try to find something durable.. but they will suck real bad on the street.. I think AMS makes a tire that can be used in sand a snow its a semi paddle tire.. if you are gona run a regular sand paddle.. make sure its atleast a 22 so it help with traction.. that what I run for snowy conditions.. I live in Canada.

This winter I'll be using studded realtors.
