one of the guys in our group failing to make a hill. The rain has washed huge ruts into some of the better hill climbs.

this picture shows his buddy coming to help him. On the way up his buddy ran over the stopped guys helmet which was left on the trail & you can see it tumbling down the hill below him.

I took this picture after leaving the group pictured & climbing this hill. It was rather dangerous with the sun in my eyes all the way up the hill. I couldn't even see the trail.

a group of locals headed to help their buddy. This is the same part of the hill I lost my 700 raptor on, except I was about 90' past where these guys are on the hill.

Man I would be worried I would lose my quad. I would just have to throw myself down with it. Naw j/k Where is that place located. Seems alot of people have posted trips to that place.

reggie checking out the damage I did to my raptor. My bike tumbled 200' or more to its final resting place. It flipped so many times I quit counting. Not sure how bad the damage is yet. I have to take it apart tonight. I know for sure I have a broken radiator, broken front plastic, 2 broken headlights, and some broken aluminum frame components. It could be alot worse for the severity of the crash.

another view of the raptor. This is after we pulled the bars back into a rideable position.

That sucks but at least you are ok. That hill is over to the right of the upper section right. What happened did you have to much speed at the top and when you turned your wheel got sucked into the rut? Check you subframe too because my buddy crashed his raptor to the left of the second pic you posted and did about $800 in damage. On the lower section(where the sun was in your eye) but to the left of that a guy on a new Ltr450 crashed and it rolled all the way down the hill and tore the shock right out of the frame.:eek2: It is alot of fun but costly when you crash. We are going Nov.5:macho
Nice pics!

yeah......the long trail to the right that takes you all the way to the top. The same one that if you go too far on top you would fall into that huge crevace. The top is off camber big time now. It threw me hard to the left on top and I was too far off camber to recover. I am sure I have close to 800 in parts to replace. I just hope the frame isn't bent.

I also went up the one below you described..........that one was blinding by the sun too. I never noticed the sun being at that angle ever before. Must just be the right time of the year for the sun to be in that position.

I remember that one too. There use to be alot more hills but every since we had the heavy rain a few months back it has been all rutted up ever since. So you crashed all the way to the right where there is that big sprocket sticking out of the ground up on top. If you did thats where I crashed my first time there I hit the lip and wheelied over but luckily I was able to hold onto it.

no, I crashed about 300 foot to the left of that sprocket. About half way between the sprocket and the hill where everyone goes up & turns around near the top & comes back down. I didn't notice the sprocket there this time. I wonder if somebody moved it.

as for the Raptor, its at the shop for an estimate. It might be covered by my insurance. :)

this is the area where I crashed although this is a video of a stranger failing to make the hill back in May of 06. The last 10 feet was near vertical and badly off camber. I think I may have been about 10 feet to the right of this video as seen facing down the hill. Keep in mind, I was all the way to the top and it shot me up to the high side of the worn trail. So where this guys stuff quit, add 20' to where I crashed.

Thats an interesting observation for a person your age. Thanks. I also find it interesting that you appreciate your dad. Most 13 year old folks don't.;)
