I have an Ross 87mm (416cc) 10.8 to 1 piston I intend to install in my 2003 400EX. I wanted to use Cosmetic gaskets but it doesn't appear that they offer a head gasket for an 87mm bore.

Any suggestions?

contact C&D racing, right here on this site....they can hook you up with what you need at a good price.;)

yeah, they do make a gasket set for that bore. C&D will probably have them in stock.

I have a 416 11.5.1 piston and I'm running with stocks gasket because I blew out two sets of the cometic gaskets but they do make them

You could run NO gaskets and just use high temp silicon to seal it.

many people do that for the base gasket on a 400ex. i was about to do it on my 450 until i looked at things closer. i didn't do because of the oil ports down there. they could get clogged pretty easily i figured.

Yeah, I starved for oil after I used silicone. I have a question also. MY engine has a stock bore of 74mm and now has an 86mm, can I cut the head gasket to fit? or will C&D have these kits for the 250X/300EX?
