400ex setup

im going and looking at 400ex's this coming weekend. and probly buying one. its stock, and im glad.

but heres the question, i wanna start getting into freestyle, and i doubt a stock 400ex will last long. sure it will for when i start, but i want to mod it as i progress.

im thinking ill start out with tires/rims all around, nerfbars and a bumper.

then for suspension i think ill go 450r shocks?

that should be good for awile no?

for the basic stuff thats good. even pretty big jumps it will last for a long time. but if your gettin into racin or you want to do big jumps and land smooth buy aftermarket suspension

Yea should be good for starters. You will want to remove the airbox lid, get an aftermarket filter, and a slip on exhaust will wake it up decently power wise. They come pretty choked up stock for sure...Good luck.

id suggest the nerfs and a pipe mainly for now, the tires arent a big factor till you really start getting it
