400ex Smoking??Questions?

I had an fmf pipe on my 400 whenever the insides blew out while i was riding. Now i do not know how much the 400 is jetted although i know for sure it is and the choke is also removed. I have never noticed it smoking until after i put the stock pipe back on. It seems to be fuel smoke. Is this normal for a quad that is jetted and has a stock pipe on it? Thanks

If it was jetted for an aftermarket exhaust then by putting the stock system back on you'd be making it run rich. You should re-jet before you start to foul plugs. It will feel much more responsive as well.

It's rich, which you put a aftermarket pipe on and jet it for that pipe, then put the stock pipe back on you'll be rich. If the smoke is black, it's carbon, not too great so either put the FMF back on or rejet for stock and leave stock on. If the smoke is greyish blue then your burning oil, usually means new valve seals, sometimes it means new rings.
