Would i get good gains from a port job, hotcams stage 2 and a stockbore wiesco 11:1 piston?
Would it be worth the money or should i bored it out, I really want to keep reliability and gas milage fair, but have a little extra power to play with.
Thanks.

That should be a good gain. You could go with a 416 but it is not nessacary. You can always do that later.

I'm just looking for a little more low/mid so i can pull higher gears out of a corner, thats all im really looking for.

If you're looking for more low and mid DON'T get the stage 2 cam. You'll lose a lot of bottom end. Go with the stage 1 or even an XR cam, along with the high comp. piston, if you want lots of bottom end.

Call TC and get his XC Cam that is for Bottom End.

I would kind of agree w/ mike. I say kind of because you will lose some bottom end, but not a lot. I run the HC stage 2 w/ 22" Razr's & a 14t countershaft, and it still pulls hard in the bottom end.

OK, maybe not a lot of bottom end but like Vegas said >> you will lose some, which is what I thought you didn't want.
......Remember Vegas, you have shaved fenders and 16 little cubes more, and he has a turbo which almost always creates some lag! (J/K)

I looked at the cam specs and the stage 2 cam has higher lift #s on bottom than the Xr and Stage 1.

TC, FST, and Web all have a bottom end cam. Plus I`m sure their is others too.
