I've sold my old 400ex and i am having trouble deciding what to get next. A 03 Suzuki Z400, or a KX125. I ride about 60% trails and 30% MX, and about 5% mud and sand. SO which one would best suit me for the type of riding i do. i also will be getting into more MX racing. What are the pros and cons of each machine. I also dont wanna hear " well an ATV is just better, or Dirtbikes suck" i want some real hard answers and facts.
thnks zach

a bike probably wont be to good in the the mud but you dont ride in it very much. if you get a bike you can say by to mud. but other than i cant help you i have only ridden one bike and it was a yz85 and im 6-2 230lbs not the right bike for me

It all about what you feel most comfortable with and what you like better. Personally Ive rode dirtbikes before and hated it. Im not bashing dirtbikes are anything but I just don't like riding them. Maybe if I could put a thumb throtle on it I would like it I hate twist throtles.

I have a quad and am considering a bike just for the fact that they have A LOT more options of places to ride. I like my quad, but if you mx ,I know around here all the tracks are banning quads, so every time I ride I know I'm in for a 2 to 3 hr ride, just to get there. Another factor to consider too, is a bike is a cheaper to maintain and for aftermarket parts. Not a lot but you can get more for your money with less out of a bike than a quad.? J.M.O BUT btw I wouldn't be getting rid of my quad...just be adding the bike.If I was starting from nothing like you will be ,than Me personally go with the bike!Like I said.J.M.O....

A dirtbike gose through more mud than a sport quad.

if i could have whatever i wanted, no doubt it would be a quad. i have both, and the bike sits in the shed, it probably has 30 hours (real light hours) as compared to the quad with 150+ hours

alright, so i would get the z. they are great quads, great for trails and great for mx, put some 22's on it and mud is a breeze

good luck.
