hey, not much activity going on in this section lately so i figured id see what everyone will be doing this winter to their Z400/KFX/DVX's ...i saw some people on the site starting their tear downs so i know you guys have to have some ideas as to what plans you have  ...i will probably be getting an axle and a nice bumper...maybe a few little things as well. nothing big. so lets hear what everyone else is doing! we have to get the Z community back in full swing here. seems like the 450's have taken over but i know there are at least a few out there who love their 400's! feel free to post up pictures of the tear downs and current quad also! ill post some up when i get some new parts.

Well, as soon as I get some time, the wiseco 440 i have is going in. Along with the cams and valve springs. Haven't been riding her much lately so i didn't really want to tear it down. Once it gets too cold to ride its on though. She'll be a screaming 440, just need to find a carb now. Anyone know the best place to pick up and fcr? I really don't want to spring for one from a dealer.

FCR's are all over thumpertalk and yfzTech..head over there. I also recently saw a couple on Zcentral and ebay.

Mods? Well I guess if you consider Nov. winter..I am continuing with this Z build from last winter.

434 kit to compliment the FCR
Hot cams
DRZe kit
1 1/4" swinger with GT thunder rebuild and link

This should just about do it for add ons then I think I am done until a 450 comes into my life.

Oh and some more powdercoating from Pappy....

we usually just ride at our buddy's houses, but well occasionally go to slickrock, goose, or over the haspin, abate, or motosupreme. We race alot down at a place called buddha or stone city raceway, they got woods racing there this weekend.

well last night i decided to say screw it! I pulled her into the shop and went to town on it. I decided to go ahead and put the 440 on now, even without the fcr carb. So while i have it apart i'm having all the headwork (cams, drz valve springs, valve guides, cam chain, etc) So hopefully by this weekend i'll have it up and running. I know a little early for a winter rebuild, but i couldn't wait anymore. This winter I'll get a fcr put in, that can be my winter rebuild :D

Hmmm gonna ride it mostly but we're bumping compression, stock bore cylinder, new bars, maybe a Cam, we'll have to see, just tear it down and rebuild it solid so its good as new

Well i finished putting it all back together today. The 440 screams now. I can't wait to see what a fcr carb does:eek2:

Nothing too drastic for me. Definitely nees a swing arm skid because the stocker is horrible. Probably just go through, clean and lube everything. I would also like a wider axle and some new tires, maybe Razrs.

SE Iowa. I hope to bundle up not quite as much and ride it! However before racing starts up again at the end of February I will install a Pro Design intake, White Bros full E2, and adjust the valves for the first time. Oh, and I still need to get that clutch cover recall taken care of and I should really throw new clutch discs in as a matter of maintenance.

I'd also like to get the frame welded/gussets/PC'd and new plastic - really want a 1 piece front. The proverbial monkey will probably fly out of my butt before I find all that money though. :(

Hopefully find the time to install the parts I have had all summer. Yosh exhaust, jet kit, intake goodies, etc. Finish up my tripmeter/speedo. But work never seems to let up, so poor baby really doesn't even get ridden enough, let alone worked on. Sure looks sweet though.

Well I want to powder coat my PRM cargo rack. Buy a set of PRM side bars and powder coat them the same color. I want to get a set of Acerbi handguards. If i have time and money I am going to take off my stock exhaust ceramic coat it.
