its prolly aroun 68- 70 My TLD Predator does 83 with some work, and it kills those jap craps...

69-70ish with stock gearing and stock 18" tires, anything more will require a gear and tire change. Dont believe anyone who say it will do more with the STOCK set up.

My GF's KFX 400 got clocked at 73MPH. My bud bought a LTZ 450 and it was bone stock. and we were side by side at top end.

This wasn't on a GPS or anything, but my buddy sat next to me on his R1 at 81mph on my stock 04 TRX. Given the margin of error, id say the stock 450r does around 77ish.

Now the LTR is a completely different story. Considering it has 18'' tires and it's a suzuki....probably in the mid 40's. Im guessing 46-47mph. ;)

On a serious note, im going to guess 68-70 mph because of the gearing and a slightly weaker motor compared to yamaha and honda. <----not calling the suzuki weak, just slightly weaker is all.

I feel that taking an LTR and dragging it down a road is like taking a Recon out on an MX track. Does it really make all the difference in the world how fast it goes? If you want to go fast, get a street bike, or hop in your GEO Metro and rip down the roads.
The first post on top-speed was fine, the 3rd-7th were OK, now it's just getting old. There are three posts in the first two pages about top speeds in this forum about LTR vs. lawn mower, maclaren leerjet and what-not.
I guess i'm just asking, does it matter how fast it goes honestly?

And P.S- Nobody has the special LE LTR(or any quad for that matter) that can go 97 MPH with the pea shooter removed and some stickers.:uhoh:

Just saying that i don't see the point in dragging down a road to see which one has the best top speed.

We all have quads, let's enjoy them and stop putting everybody elses quads down. All quads have ups and downs, EX's are getting older, Z's have some frame probs, LTR's are having tranny probs, Pred's are heavy, YFZ's have some battery probs. No quad is exempt from their probs. Let's just ride.:chinese:

ok, u talk crap about my predator...but ill admit the 450s wll take it on an mx track...woopdy friggen doooo.....im hurt now......but as far as being more powerful than my predator......go smoke some more rocks......ps the winner is decided by the better rider....come race me, or shut up

My buddie raced one at the dunes and smoked it with his 450r. His LTR 450 beats the 450R so I think yer pred may get beat. He is one of the best riders I have seen;)

My buddies pred has the baffle out and a rev box thats it, and it is dead even with my Raptor 700, we are both equal riders. Do not underestimate Predators, they can be naughty to sometimes.

Every time i go to the track, all I see are Predators dominating, just killing all the 450's. Then when I go trail riding, all I see are Predators running by the 450's, same thing at the dune drags, wow, look at the Predator go!!! then that rev box n baffle out has 2 make a hell of a difference cause i watched a stock KFX 400 run side by side with a stock predator n the predator barely pulled it in the end by a little bit

they do fine @ GNCC juss need bigger tires....if u blow away LTR's in the woods how come u c no raptors running GNCC but u c LTR's placing in the top 5 @ everyrace....o yeah n i think the raptor was a competitor with the best sport quad of the year n it obviously didn't win.....all the suzuki needs stock is a little more hp n its a hard bike 2 beat....your raptor would never beat my friends LTR

your a ****ing idoit u must not know to much because anything polaris weighs a ton the predator compaired to the ltr is amazingly different they r 2 totalyl different quads a predator is a trail quad not a track quad and a ltr is a track quad not as much a trail quad soo get ur **** stright there "know it all" and PS: the predator sucks on the track there center of gravity is soo high it isn;t even funny soo get a new quad !!!

The stock LT-R I will be honest I was very disappointed going to that from my built Honda motor, but I put the Yosh Cherry Bomb ($30)and removed the airbox lid and the baffle...WOW! totally different quad....that should be the considered "stock" form.

the new outlaw 450mxer is gonna be nice...KTM engine. Polaris has always had the steering down awesome on the preds, but they are very heavy and motors were junk (my brother is a mechanic @ a Polaris dealer..he owns a HONDA).

I have a mildly tuned ltr that is complete with 20" tires on the back with 22" up front and gearing at 13/38. i was clocked with radar at 76 mph pegged. i put the 36 back on the back and was sitting at 78 mph but the bike wouldnt rev out

all of the 450s do about the same some where between 70-75 it is almost to the point (even with yamaha and honda not fuel injected) its what is your favorite color they are all pretty close and they all have there ups and downs to beat some one in a drag does not take that much skill and as far as comparing polaris to all the "jap crap" there is none POLARIS SUCKS. my cousin has a polaris trail boss and it is the biggest piece i will never own a polaris. that was a good point about why polaris has KTM build there motors because KTM is pretty reliable and POLARIS SUCKS
