Is there a way to tell if a stator has been rewound for more output by looking at it or testing it for more ohms. I have one that looks different than my others and want to know if its high output without putting it on to check it.

Half of the stator wiring is twice as big as the other side. You can tell the differnce

Yes and no. If you had a precision LCR meter, a simple measurement would tell you if one stator had more windings than another. A high-output stator is going to have fewer turns on each winding.

A resistance check might tell you. A high-output stator should have lower resistance. But this one is tough, because the resistance specs are 0.1 to 1.0 ohms. That's a 1000% variation, while a high-output stator is only going to differ by about 50% from a normal-output stator.
