Alright 300EX owners, I have electrical problems. I have an 300EX that was setup for racing with a toggle switch instead of an ignition, electric start not hooked up, reverse cable not hooked up, and had one of those electric kill switches like a damn jet ski.

I cant get any spark, so I have replaced the ignition and hooked up the electric start. Both seem to work fine. I tested all the resistence, continuity and voltage for the impulse generator, reverse switch, igntion coil, and the A/C pulse like the manual says at the connection of the Igntion control module and everything reads correct. I have 2 extra ignition control modules that I have tryed and none of them seem to make the difference. I had the spark working for a split second and I was able to fire the bike with a little starting fluid, then I lossed my spark. Now I cannot get it back, Any myths or ideas.

Please let me know any ideas before I catch this thing on fire,

Thermos

It sounds like you really know what your doing, but I'll be mister obvious for a moment. You have tried a new plug and looked at the plug wire for chaffing or a place it is grounding out right?

Yeah, I have tryed 2 brand new plugs. Actually tried a different ignition coil also. I tested the coil and it seems to be in good shape.

Thanks,
