a couple of questions

ok i dont know if these are in the right forum but... o well move it if you have to. ok, on my 400ex what is the little plastic bubble that attaches to the rubber "hose" that goes from the air box to the carb. what does the little bubble do? and second. as of recently, my neutral light doest work, and when it is in neutral, i still have to pull in the clutch to start it. i found a severed wire right in front or the chain between the shifter and the engine, but i can only find one part of it, i cant find the other side where it got cut from? its like it doesnt know its in neutral, any suggestions?

An easy, quick fix would be to pull the wires from your clutch assembly on the bars, splice them together. Then it will start no matter what gear so be careful. But the wire you severd is probably running from the (neutral) light on the bars to the crankcase. Bust out the manual for a pic of where it's at and just splice in a new length of wire. Hopefully that helps.
