2006 250ex starting probs

I Have a brand new 2006 250ex. I have had it just over a week and it has maybe 2 hours on it of which my son is the primary rider. I went to take it for a spin yesterday and it won't start no matter what I do. Battery was on charger for aout 4 hours so i figure i need a new one soon. Have an appt at the dealer but is there an easy fix so we can ride this weekend? any help would be appreciated.

Check the kill switch on it and make sure it is the RUN postion.

That was the 1ST thing i checked

If it won't turn over at all, check the main fuse.

if it's making a clicking noise but not turning over your batterys shot

if you turn the key, it's in neutral, and you get nothing at all you're fuse might be blown or you're battery is completely shot


make sure your batters charged, fuse is good, the bike is in nuetral, the engine switch it on run, the key is on, the spark plug cap is on all the way

it also could be the spark plug but also right when i got my atv i got a brand new cdi box so idk because i never had these problems

thanks for your help guys. it ended up being a bad choke cable. they replaced it and readjusted the carb and new spark plug and now it runs like a top.
